According to the decision of the Ukrainian Library Association, two young librarians of Mykolaiv region received gift certificates for 1000 hryvnias; they are Daryna Yatskevych, leading librarian of the library-branch for youth of the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi and Oleksandra Romashova, librarian of the 1st category of the subscription department for youth of the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi.
Taking advantage of the personal award of the president of the Ukrainian library association Oksana Brui, the Mykolaiv girls will be able to get books in the publishing house "Laboratoria".
«This award once again confirms that the Mykolaiv library youth is able to generate non-standard ideas, to invent new projects. Our girls, Oleksandra and Daryna are regular participants of youth forums and competitions. For example, Daria Yatskevych is a regular participant and spokeswoman for all-Ukrainian events and not only youth ones. As for Oleksandra Romashova, we can mention her participation in the photo competitions of the youth section of the Ukrainian Library Association, in the work of the "School of Library Journalism", the online academy "Book Experiments" created by her. We can talk about girls for a long time. The award is well deserved. "I am sure that this is not the last award of our young librarians and new achievements are ahead, ” says firmly the director of the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi Inga Khorzhevska.
The personal award for young librarians was launched by Oksana Brui, President of the Ukrainian Library Association in 2019. Then the librarians of Kharkiv region became their owners. A year later, in 2020, it was received by young professionals from Luhansk region.
