In the evening of September 6, the "Art Gallery on Potiomkinska" of the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi opened its doors to the Honored Artist of Ukraine Yurii Humennyi.

The artist's personal exhibition "The World as a Miracle" started here. Connoisseurs of Yurii Stepanovych's art have been waiting for the Mykolaiv exhibition for four long years. And for the first time after a long pause, the artist invited the audience to feel how amazing the world around us is through his eyes.

It is impossible to say that all works are new. They were painted by the author in the period from the early 2000s to 2016. Some of the presented paintings are even later - from the late 80s. In total, there are 19 works in the exposition. Among them are still lifes, landscapes, the theme of motherhood and femininity, music and sacred art.
Yurii Stepanovych's source of inspiration and wonder is the world around him.
"You know, everything that surrounds me. Something is blooming in my garden. Every day I see how the plants are blooming. I have a cat that is always by my side. It lives in the workshop, sleeps there too. I come and talk to it. Every day there are some new phenomena. Everything surprises me... Even when I go by tram, I see around. There are different people. Sometimes, when you start talking to them, it's just a miracle that you discover something new. From human life, from my personal life," emphasizes Yurii Humennyi.
During the presentation, Yurii Stepanovych made a present to the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi and its branches - sets of catalogs with his works from different years.
The exhibition will be open at the "Art Gallery on Potiomkinska" almost until the end of the month. So, friends, you have time to come and experience the wonder of the world through the eyes of Yurii Humennyi.
