There are many unusual, but pleasant and warm holidays in the world. Many of them are not marked on the calendar at all, but people celebrate them with joy. One of them is Mitten Tree Day, which is celebrated all over the world on December 6 and is dedicated to spreading warmth and kindness during the cold winter months.

Our childhood begins with the tale of the glove. It is one of the most archaic texts in the fairy tale tradition not only of Ukrainians, but of all other peoples of the world in general. A cumulative tale is built on the elements of accumulation, like an accumulator. Love, affection - all this and more can be expressed with the help of such a simple thing as a glove.

And we, Ukrainians, now have a double, wonderful opportunity at the very beginning of the first winter month to give relatives and loved ones the warmth of our hearts, sincerity and care, and gloves made by ourselves.

Accompanied by interesting legends told by the trainer and craftswoman of the Cultural and Artistic Association "Spokusa" Vira Zhevner, on December 5, regular readers of the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi made their own designer gloves.

"Where are real miracles born? It is in our library. After all, it is here that we continue the art marathon dedicated to the New Year and Christmas holidays. Today we are making a chocolate box from felt in the form of a glove. Which we will definitely fill with chocolates, candies, and various goodies," emphasizes Valentyna Kryvtsova, head of the Cultural and Artistic Association "Art-Spokusa".

Small gestures have a big impact. When we hang a handmade glove like this on our Christmas tree or simply give it to someone, we remind those around us of the need to do good, to bring it into the lives of other people, says craftswoman Vira Zhevner.

"And in order give sweets in a very original way, we made these chocolate boxes. These are warm ones. For me, they are associated with warmth, with home, with comfort. A warm hearth, family, relatives and friends who gathered together at the table. To enjoy tea with sweets,” shares Vira Zhevner.

So, become a part of someone's winter fairy tale by giving the most important person in your life a little care, attention, love and family comfort.
