They amaze with their magnificent variety of shapes, colors and aromas and can decorate a garden plot, a garden, a big city or a small village. In Ukrainian folk tradition, iris symbolizes protection and well-being, and people often call these flowers "cockerels".
Iris May – this is the name of the exhibition that opened today at the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytsky. This is the third event within the framework of the art project "Seasons of the Year".
It is organized by the library on the occasion of its 125th anniversary in collaboration with long-time friends and partners of the Cultural and Artistic Association "Art-Spokusa".
The exhibition includes 18 paintings and embroidered panels by seven craftswomen from the city of Mykolaiv and the region.
The guests were welcomed by the director of the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi Inha Khorzhevska and the non-staff advisor to the Mykolaiv City Mayor Artem Kryvtsov.
And the warmth of his heart and good mood were given to those present by Honored Artist of Ukraine Oleksandr Sychov.
