"Patterns of Power" - under this patriotic name, master classes for families of military personnel are being held throughout May at the Marko Kropyvnytskyi Central City Library.

Creative events are dedicated to painting eco-bags using the printing technique. They are organized by the library together with the META Charitable Foundation with the participation of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration (@Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration).

Eco-turbine painting is one of the most popular workshops that has an art-therapeutic effect. The friendly atmosphere of the event, immersion in the creative process help participants improve stress resistance, restore internal resources, and feel self-reliance, which Ukrainians really need right now.

The event is moderated by Vira Zhevner, a famous Mykolaiv craftswoman. Her creative output includes many different techniques. In particular, pani Vira has mastered stamping patterns on fabric (printing, smoke).

Printing (vybiika) has ancient folk roots. It beautifully decorates eco-bags. Using such bags is both convenient and environmentally responsible. If you have an eco-bag, you are taking care of the environment. This subtext is given to the craftswomen by the support of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources. Even during the war, the formation of environmental skills and culture remains relevant.

The second master class was held on May 15. It coincided with World Embroidery Day, and this boosted the spirits of the event participants. Creating their own patterns on bags using stamps, they were inspired by folk traditions and received great pleasure from the creative process.

Following the advice of Vira Mykolaivna, the participants selected and imprinted on the bag ornaments that have symbolic meaning for Ukrainians - this is the tree of life, plant, animal elements of folk patterns. According to the craftswoman, each product has its own characteristics both in terms of the process and the results. At this event, the participants were pleased with asymmetrical patterns on bags, using two colors at the same time with one stamp in printing. They worked as a large team, in which adults helped the children. Both the participants and the organizers were happy with the results.

As a memento of the meeting, wonderful eco-bags will remain, painted with their own hands with symbols of strength, hope and love.

The workshop participants were Maryna Romanenko, Liubov Variukhina, Kateryna Pavlenko.

We thank the craftswoman, the organizers and our Armed Forces for the opportunity to regain strength!
