The master class was held with the support of the Mykolaiv Regional Center for Social Services and was conducted by the talented Mykolaiv craftswoman Olha Tarasova.

The meeting began with a story about the history of motanka dolls, their varieties and symbolism. Then the participants fully immersed themselves into the creative process: they made a base in the form of a bag, generously filled it with rice, peas, oats and corn, added hands, dressed it in a skirt and a bright apron, tied a scarf and decorated it with ribbons.

This is how the dolls were born — plump, good-natured, true guardians of the home. They say that such a Krupianychka will definitely attract prosperity and happiness to the house throughout the year.

We create miracles with our own hands - and we believe in the power of Ukrainian traditions!
