The author — a renowned scholar and Doctor of Historical Sciences —presented a publication that organically combines history, myths, and elements of science fiction. It is no coincidence that the title "MYTH" carries a deeper meaning, representing a unique intertwining of the past, imagination, and the city's cultural memory.
The book consists of several thematic sections, each opening a separate world to the reader: from ancient times and legends to a reinterpretation of familiar historical sites. It is not simply a collection of stories, but an attempt to look at Mykolaiv from a different perspective — аs a space where real events are closely interwoven with mythology.
During the meeting, attendees had the opportunity to speak with the author and learn more about the idea behind the book, the creative process, and the sources of inspiration. A lively dialogue, an exchange of ideas, and a sincere interest in the topic created a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The book gifts for the library were a particularly pleasant highlight.
Yurii Kotliar donated copies of his publication to the library collection, and ethnologist Halyna Lozko also presented the library with her own books.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this event!
