This was an event that combined history, research, and a lively interest in our city's past. The event was held in an interview format: even before the start, everyone interested had the opportunity to submit their questions to the author, and during the conversation, they received insightful answers.

In addition, an exhibition of vintage photographic equipment was held at the presentation — guests had the opportunity to see early cameras, including the legendary Kodak, as well as a collection of old photographs. Those present learned more about how photographs were previously created and developed, and even saw unique glass negatives.

The meeting was moderated by the library director Inha Khorzhevska, who maintained an insightful dialogue with the author.

The discussion covered the history of photography, the people who stood at the origins of this craft in Mykolaiv, and the unique materials collected in the publication. There were many discoveries and interesting facts.

We thank the author for his profound work, and the publisher Iryna Hudym, for her long-standing support of Mykolaiv book publishing.

Until next time!
