"The cult of eternal youth," screen clichés, and hidden ageism in advertising and cinema — these very important and relevant topics took center stage for the participants at the latest meeting of the "RIKA" conversational integration club.

The club meeting brought together those who strive to critically analyze media images, uncover hidden manipulations, and improve their Ukrainian-language discussion skills.

Together with moderator Serhii Ponomarenko, the participants learned to recognize ageism and media manipulation, examined how pop culture affects our perception of different age groups, and practiced defending their positions through reasoned debate.

A special highlight of this session was that residents from the de-occupied villages of the Horokhivska hromada in the Mykolaiv region joined the regular participants. The exchange of views between communities made the discussion even more lively, multifaceted, and sincere.

We thank everyone for their active participation, courage in expressing their views, and the warm atmosphere of co-creation.

The RIKA conversational integration club operates within the framework of cooperation between the Marko Kropyvnytskyi Central Library of Mykolaiv and the "Tenth of April."

The project is implemented under a partnership agreement between UNHCR Ukraine – the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine and the NGO "Tenth of April."
