The discussion focused on Taras Shevchenko, Ukrainian dignity, prominent figures of our region, and the cultural heritage that is essential to know, preserve, and pass on to future generations.

A special part of the meeting was the ceremonial presentation of books to the city's public libraries in honor of the 65th anniversary of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine.

Taras Kremin is the author of the book "Shevchenko Prize Winners of the Mykolaiv Region."

The festival began with an important conversation — about our roots, our culture, and the people who make Ukrainian history.

And there is still much more exciting news ahead!

"Veshtanka on the Buh" runs from October 14 to 18.
