Spring is a special season. This is the time of renewal, the awakening of all living things, the flowering of nature, when there is already a lot of heat and sun. Regular readers of the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi, thanks to the Cultural and Artistic Association "Art-spokusa", at the end of the week, met spring with the production of a girlish beauty amulet.
An obligatory attribute of a bright spring doll is a long braid of iridescent shades.
"These are such ritual dolls that women, girls used to call spring. So that the spring was warm, so that the winter frosts went to far and did not damage the future harvest. And that's why, when such dolls were made before and now, we read spring songs . They are also called gaivki. "Let a mother call spring. To call for spring, to wait for summer," emphasized Valentyna Kryvtsova, head of the Cultural and Artistic Association "Art-spokusa".
The main protective function of a "spring doll" is to preserve peace and love in the family, to attract happiness into your home, says the master trainer Svitlana Boikova-Kaliuzhna. Her upturned hair symbolizes the connection with the sun, the energy it gives to the owner.
"It was given, it was always done only by women. Because this is a doll to call spring and prosperity into your home. So that people's pantry is always full. So that the future harvest is good. This is what this doll was made for," emphasizes Pani Svitlana.
The visitors of the library master classes succeeded in everything. The spring dolls turned out cheerful and spring-like positive. Every woman invested her dream and hope in it.
