With the beginning of the full-scale criminal invasion of the Russian occupiers, all Ukrainians experienced uncertainty. At the same time, they received messages with words of support from abroad from acquaintances, friends and relatives.

"We think of you all, our dear colleagues and friends, constantly. All words seem superfluous in this terrible situation. All of Estonia supports Ukraine with such a warm feeling, which, to be honest, I did not expect from cold-blooded Estonians. The National Library made an appeal to hold exhibitions in the libraries of Estonia dedicated to Ukraine - its history, literature", - such a letter was received by the staff of the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi on the morning of March 1, 2022, from the director of the library of Sillamäe (Estonia), Elvira Sidorova.

Our collectives have shared friendly relations for almost 13 years. Before the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the librarians managed to exchange friendly visits with each other. Mykolaiv librarians went to Estonia in 2014. A year later, Estonian colleagues came to Mykolaiv.

And so today a very pleasant meeting was held in the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi. Tetiana Lapina, head of the department of acquisition of the Estonian library, came to Mykolaiv.

She once again sent the words of support from Estonia and gifts to our team.

Thank you very much for your sincerity. Colleagues, in these gifts and words we see and hear your voices, we feel your support.
