Soon, Christians will celebrate Easter - a holiday that covers the whole earth with its radiance. Before the start of the war, this day was special for many Ukrainians. Families gathered around the festive table. Today's terrible events scattered citizens all over the world. But even in these conditions and in different countries - Germany and Poland, Ireland and Sweden, Austria, Italy, they continue to adhere to Easter traditions that have remained unchanged for centuries.

On April 24 in the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi opened the exhibition "The Holiday Embraces the Earth".

While preparing for the bright day in memory of the miracle of the Resurrection of the Son of God, the visitors got acquainted with the festive customs of other countries and remembered the local ones.

For the Easter exposition, 11 masters of the Cultural and Artistic Association " Art-Spocusa" , as well as artists from the Hero City of Mykolaiv and the region, presented their works.

"There are more than 50 works here. This is small plastic, paintings and decorative panels. Various types of techniques are presented. These are mainly our traditional Ukrainian folk techniques. After all, we made an accent on Pysanky (Easter eggs) - voschanky, maliovanky. And traditionally, Ukraine is famous for this kind of art," - emphasizes Valentyna Kryvtsova, the head of the Cultural and Artistic Association "Art-Spocusa".

The exposition reflects all the moments of preparation and anticipation of the Holiday. And also demonstrates the symbolism of Ukrainian traditions. Easter ornaments, colorful towels, festive drawings, carved patterns, Easter still lifes and dolls are about our identity and about each of us, wherever we are.

"Well, for me this holiday is, first of all, is a Revival. The victory of life over death, as Valentyna Volodymyrivna said in her speech. Good wins over evil. And in my works, I also tried to show exactly this idea. That is, Easter for me is a symbol of the victory of good over evil and life over death. Home traditions? We paint krashanky, draw maliovanky. We sanctify them in the church, like everyone else. That is, everything is very traditional with us. That's how it works in our family," shares Lesia Saikovska, master of the Cultural and Artistic Association "Art-spokusa".

"Each holiday is a set of new easter eggs, some new thoughts about it. And of course, all of them are dedicated to the main holiday - the Resurrection of Christ. And we always prepare for it. This exhibition is also another step towards our, such spiritual ascension, I would say. Because we have been working towards this all our lives," emphasizes Tetiana Uliankina, honored master of folk art of Ukraine.

Traditions and customs are values. In times of war, they are necessary for every Ukrainian. After all, it is the core that gives strength to endure and improves well-being.

So, if possible, do not deny yourself a holiday and meeting with relatives at the same table. And be sure to visit the Easter exposition in the library.

This, on the contrary, can improve your emotional state and give you more resources for work, volunteering or helping the army.
